5th Food, Agri & Livestock Asia 2011 Int’l Exhibition & Conference started today at Karachi Expo Centre.

Karachi, April 26, 2011: CE TDAP, Tariq Iqbal Puri Inaugurated 5th Food, Agri & Livestock Asia 2011, Int’l Exhibition & Conference  today at Karachi Expo Centre. Mr. Francis Widmer, the French Commercial Counsellor in Karachi, Rossalis R. Adenan, Indonesian Consul General; Mr. Bertrand Quevremont ,ADEPTA, M. Alain Re’ocreux, Dr. Khursheed Nizam, President Ecommerce Gateway were also present at the inauguration ceremony. The 3-day Event was organized by Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan the only UFI (Paris) Approved Event Organizer of Pakistan.

Food, Agri & Livestock Asia is a unique show in South Asia, which proudly represents a theme of “Pakistan - The Halal Kitchen of the World”. The Event provides an exclusive opportunity to see what the entire South Asian industry has offered and to check out the latest products & innovations in the regional market.

The Event also incorporated 5th International Conference on Food, Agriculture & Livestock with the theme “Framing the Issues, Challenges & Opportunities”. Prof. Dr. Shahana Urooj Kazmi, Pro – Vice Chancellor, University of Karachi acted as the Chief Guest of the conference.

There are 200 stalls in the Exhibition where more than 160 international & domestic exhibitors were showcasing their products and services. A number of foreign participants are also gracing the Event from more than 20 countries including China, France, Germany, Ireland, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Malaysia, Turkey, Iraq, etc.

Salient Features of the Event are “French Pavilion” being established by ADEPTA France, Association for the Development of International Exchanges in Agricultural and Agrifood Products & Techniques. A number of French companies are participating under this pavilion.

Since the theme of the Event is Pakistan- The Halal Kichen of the World, it is open for families from 3-8 PM daily. While, 10-3 PM will remain exclusive for Trade/ Corporate Visitors.  More than 40,000 visitors were expected to visit the Event during the 3 days.

Food, Agri & Livestock Asia has become an annual meeting place for representatives of relevant businesses, experts and analysts around the region. The key goal of the exhibition is to highlight development trends and prospects and provide a platform for dialogue between experts engaged in international food, agriculture and livestock analysis, specialists in various fields of the industry, and representatives of ministries and related departments.
